Mini Kickers is an introduction to football for 4-6 year old children (Reception and Year 1) of all abilities.
The sessions are run by qualified coaches who aim to provide a fun introduction to the game of football, the children will learn to play football and become part of a team. When the children are ready they will be put into small teams and play short games in preparation for progression into under 7 team football where they will be p[laying non-competitive games on a Saturday morning.
These session are open to all, but there are limited spaces to provide coaches with the ability to give the best possible training sessions .
The Junior shots under 9’s are in their second year as a team and have moved up this year from 5 a side to 7 a side. The team is made up of 10 young players from the surrounding area, some who have played together before and others who are new this year. The team play in the under 9’s Spartan league in the North East Hampshire Youth League. The team is coached by Russell and Neil who are both FA level one qualified and are committed to making the team fun, safe and successful.
Graeme is proud to run our under 11’s team playing in North East Hampshire Youth League on a Saturday morning, The under 11 league is the last year in which children play in a non-competitive format. It is the first year where they will be introduced to a larger pitch with larger goals and play will be in a 9V9 format. Graeme’s aim at this point will be preparing the team to work on the finer points of each child’s own skills and how the introduction of those two extra players will change the team game and how they work together. This year they will have to work together and refine their positions ready to move to competitive football at under 12.
Shellie enjoys running our under 12’s team again playing in the North East Hampshire Youth League on a Saturday morning. The under 12 league is the first year that the children are introduced to a competitive league access for all to the North East Hampshire Youth League website and keep up to date with the teams league table and positioning within it! This is the second and final year at 9V9 before taking the full move to 11V11 at under 13.
Under 14 Blues
The Blues have now been playing together since Under 7’s, with the Manager having coached some of the boys and girls from mini-kickers days (aged 4-5).
We have had player’s joining along the way and over the last few seasons and have won league cup and Premier titles playing in the North East Hampshire Youth League on a Saturday morning.
At U12’s we sought the challenge of playing in the Surrey Youth League on Sundays. The last two seasons saw us promoted twice and we now play in the Premier Division. The challenge now is to get promoted to the Premier Elite, which is the highest level of club football around.
We train on a Tuesday night and seek to provide a positive, challenging, motivational and enjoyable sessions. Junior Shots Blues are proud to follow the FA guidelines and have both the suggested pitch and goal sizes at Under 14 with all players, spectators and coaches following the respect guidelines.
Under 13 Reds
Craig took over the Reds in 2016 and has enjoyed a great season at under 12 taking the team to promotion and cup final in April. He is now looking forward to the exciting transition into under 13 11V11 football in the North East Hampshire Youth League on a Saturday. Junior Shots Youth are proud to follow the FA guidelines and have both the suggested pitch and goal sizes at Under 13.
Under 13 Cannons
Lee has taken great pride in running the Cannons who have enjoyed a great season at under 12. The Cannons also play in the North East Hampshire Youth League on a Saturday morning, and look forward to another great year and the exciting transition to 11V11 at under 13 improving their game as a team and their individual skills. Junior Shots Youth are proud to follow the FA guidelines and have both the suggested pitch and goal sizes at Under 13.
Paul currently takes charge of the Junior Shots Youth Under 16 team and having had a great season at under 15 is looking forward to the coming season. Under 16 is run in the same way as adult football and by now most players will play in a position they are used to and have started to make their own. The training at under 16 is intensive and the games very competitive across most leagues, Junior Shots Under 16 currently play in the North East Berkshire League on a Saturday.
Senior Shots (18+ Football)
Gary and Russ take charge of Senior Shots team. Having been part of the club from the start these guys know Junior Shots inside out and after having managed teams at Youth level are now helping move the club forward with adult football as well. Senior shots move into their second season and are currently playing in the North East Hampshire League.
